A twist on self-cherishing

A twist on how self-cherishing (selfishness, egocentricity) is a reflection of attachment and grasping (to one's view of the self) born of ignorance of the true reality of existence.

Misunderstanding

The film reaffirmed for me that what we want and what other want for us is often misunderstood by both parties. It is hard enough in our life journey to find what we want and the challenge is applified when our relationship with loved ones compromises our own growth and desire to be how we want to be. This is often the case in Aboriginal society when we desire to be the best we can but struggle with not being able to bring our loved ones on the journey, so we remain the same, with them.
